Mayor Pro tem Owens-Twaites, holds a Listening Session Townhall

I co-hosted a town hall to provide a platform for citizens to directly engage with their elected officials, with the purpose of fostering a sense of connection and participation in the political process.  Agenda topics included, property taxes, elections, data centers and local resources. We will conduct community wide "listening" town halls biannually.

Mayor Pro tem Owens-Twaites makes a motion to deny the text amendment in O&I to allow for data centers.

Data Centers are being developed throughout our nation. As with all new developments, everything has its place. Data centers require substantial land for their buildings and infrastructure, and may be classified as industrial, commercial, or special-use properties depending on local zoning regulations.   As it stands, we have designated areas for data centers. I voted NO to add them to additional areas.
